CST has been providing custom engineered all-aluminum water reservoir cover solutions in the potable water market for more than 55 years. Large water basins and reservoirs are a particularly difficult challenge. The water must be covered effectively to meet surface water regulations. At CST, our aluminum covers have been designed to cover some of the largest water reservoirs in the world. We’ve designed, fabricated and installed over 20,000 covers worldwide.
CST has a unique “strut and panel” system that can accommodate virtually any reservoir shape or size. The all-aluminum design employs flat panel and geodesic dome engineering principles for a lightweight cover as clear-span, truss-supported or internally supported by columns.
New or Retrofit
CST’s cover systems are ideal for both new construction and retrofit projects and require little modification of the existing tank.

Open bodies of water are vulnerable to contamination, including surface runoff, bird and animal waste, human activity, algae growth and airborne debris. This vulnerability is especially concerning for uncovered reservoirs used to store finished drinking water. CST’s innovative, clear-span reservoir tank covers — for water storage tanks of all sizes — prevent water intrusion.
