CST’s TecTank® line delivers premium factory-welded steel storage tanks engineered for a wide range of dry bulk and liquid storage applications across industries worldwide.
Unlike field-welded and painted tanks, CST’s TecTank welded steel tanks are fabricated in a modern, indoor, controlled environment. Once fabricated, tanks are cleaned, coated and cured in our oven on a specially designed processing line.
Whether storing potable water, wastewater, chemicals, grains or other critical materials, TecTank by CST combines industry-leading engineering, precision fabrication and rapid global deployment to meet the toughest performance demands.
In addition, many of our customers rely on factory-welded TecTanks for special or unique applications. If you need a smaller tank capacity, and quality and delivery are important, we can create a welded tank to meet your needs.

Our factory-welded process ensures precise, consistent welds that exceed field-weld tolerances — free from weather-related variability or contamination. We only employ ASME-qualified welders. In addition to factory-coated steel tanks, CST fabricates tanks from stainless steel and aluminum. Tanks can be constructed with flat bottoms, with hopper bottoms and with elevated structures. Standard one-piece designs up to 85’x15’ can be fabricated in a matter of weeks. Custom and multi-piece tanks can also be designed and fabricated in larger sizes.

Food
Many of the strict sanitary specifications for food storage vessels require the use of a welded tank. When this is the case, factory-welded and factory-coated tanks offer the best coatings and fastest delivery due to the elimination of potential environmental conditions that can delay field welded tank construction and coatings.
Petrochemical
Factory welded tanks have been a common storage design in oil field applications for over a hundred years. CST has been in business that long and understands the unique needs the oil field demands for welded tanks.
Power Generation
Welded tanks are well suited for small volume storage of fly ash, activated carbon and trona where the capacity of a bolted tank is not required.
